Things are still pretty soft and squishy after all the rain. Gonna take a couple of days to dry out enough to do yard work. Doesn't help that the lawn mowers are still not working. I'm no expert on 2 cycle engines, either.
The news seems to be full of SOS and kinda blase. The vote on Healthcare was simply to allow bringing it to the Senate floor for debate. Yeah, right. Who do they think they're kidding? We all know they'll pass it and we'll take the hit. Heck, they know they can do anything they want cause the "citizenry" don't do anything to stop them. Just sit back and say "that ain't right, but I'm too chicken-sh** to do anything about it." The ones that "mouth-off" like me will be "taken care of" in due time. One at a time. Why do they even bother with the pretense anymore? Quit kidding yourself, we are all their serfs and they are the masters deciding our fate. Not enough people have the intestinal fortitude to "buck the system" to make a difference. And ain't no where to run to, to get out of it. Well, the people will get what they want. Will ANY State secede? Not a snowball's chance in Hell!! Why should the State politicians kick over the traces? They've got a good thing going for them too. "Elected" officials? Oh please, the system has been rigged for a long time now and no one is going to change that.
Bah, why do I bother?

To store a fresh hide: fold it in half, flesh side to flesh side and roll it up tightly. Then double bag it and put it in freezer until you can find the time to work on it.
To thicken an untreated hide: Stretch it loosely and pour boiling water over it repeatedly or dunk it repeatedly into boiling water. The hide will shrink as it thickens. Then treat it with whatever means you intend.
Gonna go dig some ditches. Be sure and practice your "Yessuh Massa" now, ya hear?
