Was reading today in our one donkey newspaper of the new practice of "swatting". It's where hackers get into the 911 system and call out the Swat Teams for bogus calls. Like having them go to addresses because "mad, murderous felons" are staying and are holed up with the "won't take me alive" syndrome. Or where supposedly drug deals are going down. Of course the calls are bogus but the Swat team thinks they're real and "goes for the gold". All out, "bust down the door and start intimidating the inhabitants" scene. Somebody thinks it's funny. Until someone gets killed over this.
Like they need more reasons. ?? it's bad enough they do it already without giving them more encouragement. Geezz.

It would sure be a shame if they were called on a fellow police officer's house.

Damn we have came along way from prank calling up one of your older neighbors an asking if he has Prince Albert in a can. Or ordering the neighbor you didn't like a pizza.

I dunno. Running them ragged might be a good thing. So long as they're sent to empty warehouses and such, I got no problem with it. Gotta think outside the box to defeat the enemy...
Its scary stuff. Down here along the border, cartel violence has everyone on edge. Its spilling over to this side, drivebys, kidnappings - its all here. Sure isn't like the old days.
Pseudo cop invasions are really big here too.
