A Real Bad Day

Started out with me having to put my old mare down that'd been with me since 1985. I got her as a 2 year old and she was 28. Lots of miles and adventures. No vets available, so I had to do it myself. It was quick. Didn't think it could get any worse. I was wrong.

Ended with six cops (from constables and Sheriffs to DPS) on my property because the asshole that was supposed to dig the grave assaulted me and his grandfather is the only reason I didn't shoot him. They took my pocket pistol and said I could pick it up tomorrow. I didn't pull it or brandish it, but his grandfather knew I had it and interceded, begging me not to shoot the buttwipe while he scambled to pack up and try to leave.

HB called the cops immediately and all of a sudden there was flashing lights and cops coming out of the woodwork. Took a while to get it all sorted out. Buttwipe even called his daddy (who showed up during the melee') for help. Buttwipe got a "citation for assault" cause I wasn't injured. Both him and his daddy got criminal trespass warnings also.

Sorry, my blood pressure is off the charts right now. I'm probably not making sense. I am so pissed off on so many levels right now.

First off I am sorry to hear about your mare. I too had to put down my first horse as well. I had to get good neighbor to help me out. It was very difficult. We ended up burning him rather than bury.

What an ass. Other people kids I guess. Hope you get things all sorted out.

Really sorry you've had such a rough time. These animal friends really get whole of our hearts. Take care.

Wow, that almost sounds like a day at my place. Sorry to hear about your loss. I always have a hard time doing the deed myself with a family pet.
After you get calmed down please tell us how the assault even got started.

Sorry Yof, it sucks I jave been there. Well not cop part.

I have owned 3 great horses, one amazing one. After today i can truly say every horse I have had has put me on the ground. My saddle is 30 years old, it has been a few miles with me, well today it was not my friend. Riding Dancer something in grass (snake) spooked her. Now to be fair to her she just jumped back, not something that would normally cause you to come off. How ever, add a 30 year old saddle in to the mix and rigging that gave away. Yea you guessed it, Dancer trotted off about 30 feet and I uhm , lets say I did not trot with her. In life be prepared, a little over confidence kinda hurts. I need new saddle to !!!
